The Henry V Drinking Game

October 25th, 2010 will be the 595th anniversary of the battle of Agincourt. This bit of sport can be played anytime, but there is special ceremony and significance if the game is played on the anniversary.

It is of vital consequence that the beer be British, the scotch be single malt (I'm partial to Laphroaig) and the steaks be eaten fresh off the grill without the benefit of utensils.  If at all possible, bring along a poodle walking Frenchman (even a French flag draped Gervais would suffice) and express fond amusement towards him during the battle scenes as his ancestors are thwarted.

The Rules
Whenever the Chorus (Narrator) shows up Take a drink
Whenever the Dauphin looks snotty 1 drink
Whenever Montjoy flounces in 1 drink
Have no damned idea what the hell Fluellen is talking about? 2 drinks
When someone says, "Agincourt" 1 drink
When anyone says, "France" 1 drink
When anyone says, "England" 1 drink
During "Non Nobis, Domine" Sing and drink...
French FlagBritish flag

Non nobis, Domine, non nobis, sed nomini tuo da gloriam

Translation (Prayer Book Version): Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy Name give thee praise
